Matrix grant gives TTI's capacity a huge boost

A three-year grant from leading barristers’ chambers Matrix has significantly boosted Trauma Treatment International’s capacity.

The £9,000 funding aimed to expand our treatment services through the training and development of our clinical psychologist associates. The project not only met but exceeded its goals, enabling us to adapt and grow significantly.

Over the three years, the grant went towards a comprehensive professional development curriculum, from an initial core module to an extensive training programme, culminating in an essential Associate Handbook. This document now serves as the bedrock for all associate induction, training, and supervision.

The impact is profound: in 2024 alone, we received 103 referrals, delivered 366 individual sessions, and expanded our network to 40 organisations.

The success of the project led to a refined associate pool and plans for a new multi-disciplinary team, ensuring even more comprehensive, client-led care for trauma survivors.
